If your dog exhibits Bad Behaviour such as jumping on people, barking excessively, biting, refusing to come when called, chewing on your furniture or shoes, pulling on the lead, urinating inside, pawing at you for attention, then you should learn how to correct the behaviour.

Dogs can easily learn bad behaviours but they easily unlearn them too. However training your puppy or adult dog will require patience, consistency and perserverance on your part. The main thing to remember is to never yell at or hit your dog during training. If you remain calm, your dog will also be calm. Many experts recommend the use of a soda can filled with dry beans, coins or pebbles that you rattle sharply when a dog misbehaves.

A poorly trained dog can embarrass its owner and offend other people or make them feel threatened. To raise a well-behaved dog, you can also consider enrolling him or her in an obedience class at a young age.

The Companion Animal Behavior Program at the University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine is conducting a study of grass and plant eating behavior in dogs. Many theories as to why dogs eat plants have been proposed. This is the first scientific study to investigate this common behavior. By taking a 20 minute Dog Plant Eating Survey you can help us learn more about our canine companions
